Lance Gardner has been appointed as Salford Primary Care Together’s Chief Executive, the organisation’s Board has announced.
Lance has been interim Chief Executive since April 2019 and the Board has really welcomed the work he has done since he arrived, which has included navigating the organisation through the ever-evolving world of primary care with the advent of primary care networks.
Chair Liz Cross said: “We are delighted to offer Lance the position following a thorough recruitment process. Lance has a long history of working in Salford and we know he is absolutely passionate about and committed to the future of Salford Primary Care Together and the wider health and social care system in the City. We know he will work hard to take the organisation from strength to strength and lead an organisation where everyone can enjoy playing their part in the development and delivery of great services that make a real and lasting difference to the people of Salford.”
Lance said: “I am thrilled and proud to be offered the permanent position of Chief Executive of Salford Primary Care Together. It has been a great honour to be asked to come back to Salford and contribute in whatever way I can to improve the health and wellbeing of the people of this great City.
“I am working alongside some great people to start to shape an exciting future for Salford Primary Care Together. I am committed to working alongside colleagues old and new to create a seismic shift in the way care is both delivered and received locally, and I Intend to fully justify the Board’s faith in me to take the company forward.”
